Honey I Shrunk the Kids

Writing a blog can be a guilt trip. How many have you seen where the most recent post goes like this, "I've been so bad at posting lately! I promise I'll get better soon!" and then no more posts.

It's like a disease. I haven't posted in a week (which is very bad because I'm working on this for a class) and of all people Rick Moranis is the one to remind me how negligent I've been. How? Why? Because there are at least four ridiculous 80's sweaters in that terrible little movie, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, which I watched on a movie marathon night this weekend. Unfortunately, this is the only picture I could find. But the neighbor's wife had a crazy floral pullover and Wayne's wife had several very matronly sweaters.

  1. I think a lot of us can relate with what you are saying here. It's not that we don't intend to post new and exciting blogs... we do! It's just that life gets ahead of us. So I support you acknowledging this!

I bet there are a lot of great 80s/early 90s movies with great sweaters. Maybe you could check out a few more movies just for the sweaters. Or maybe even TV shows, like Saved By The Bell. I remember Slater wearing some interesting sweaters.

  2. Along with emily's comment, i feel like the Breakfast Club, 16 Candles, or any movie with Molly Ringwald would be an excellent place to find great sweaters.

  3. hahah I'm so glad Rick Moranis reminded you of your shortcomings. Hilarious.
Continuing on what the other girls said... It might be interesting to use TV, movies, and celebrities to examine sweater styles of the decades, maybe for times when you don't find/notice anyone interesting on the street, or don't have your camera, etc. Could add an extra dimension to the blog.
